Hello. Please use an edit summary for every edit you make to Wikipedia, particularly on contentious articles such as the Greater Manchester Transport Innovation Fund (TiF). Manchester TiF

Hi there. Thanks for your contribution to this article, however if you are going to insert material for referencing can you please adhere to the same standards as other references within the article? It's good to see you adding sources to articles when you add material, but it is important to format your sources. The best way to do this is with Template:Citation. The benefits are that it neatly formats the reference and provides fields for information to be included. The minimum required information are the title, publisher, and accessdate, but the other fields are very helpful. The idea is that if the link ever goes dead, someone reading the article may still be able to find the relevant information. Here's an example of how it works :{{citation |url=http://content-uk.cricinfo.com/england/content/story/133792.html |author=Emma John |title=Lessons in life |publisher=Cricinfo.com |date=19 September 2003 |accessdate=3 March 2008}} gives "Emma John (19 September 2003), Lessons in life, Cricinfo.com, retrieved 3 March 2008". The "date=" field is for the date the work was made, I hope everything else is self explanatory.

Then, if you put that template between <ref> and </ref>, the sources will appear in the reference sections you see in articles with all the other references. If anything's unclear, please ask and happy editing. Nev1 (talk) 01:25, 7 December 2008 (UTC)
