The predicate,"parkt", is third person singular in present tense, and not in Imperfekt. [1]
- "Die Person, wegen der ich hier bin" (The person I am here because of, or The person for which reason I am here.)
"The person I am here because of", is a dependent sentence. "because of" what? I don't get it. The sentence is ambiguous, and can be interpreted in two ways. Either, you are at a particular party because of a particular person, or you are alive thanks to this person. It might be better to say, "I am here because of this person," since it's not a dependent clause, or You can use a clause like, "for which reason", but it might be a even better solution.
"Damals;" can have several different meanings. I don't feel the word, "that," gives the sentence any meaning. I think a less ambiguous clause will make it easier to understand the translation.[2]

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions to German sentence structure. I just wanted to let you know two things. Strike-out (like this) is not normally appropriate in article text. If you want to remove/replace something, just do it, and don't leave the old version hanging around. People can look in the edit history if they are interested in the changes. Also, you should not add your signature to articles, only to talk pages.
