My AFD (and other XFD) closures are intended to reflect the community's opinion. As such, under most circumstances, I will apply a majority-based approach to determining the result. In a close discussion, if there are strong policy-based arguments I will close based on those where possible. Also, the contributions of new and unregistered users are customarily discounted or given a lower weighting.

I consider all my AFD closures carefully before coming to a decision, and as such, if you are not happy with a decision, please make a listing at Wikipedia:Deletion review.
