Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. An article you recently created, StarTex Power, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for new articles, so it will shortly be removed (if it hasn't been already). Please use the sandbox for any tests you may want to do and please read our introduction page to learn more about contributing. Thank you. Coren 19:02, 29 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

As you can see from the above warning, an editor tagged your entry for speedy deletion using the {{db-corp}} tag. This basically means that the article failed to assert sufficient notability by not providing reliable sources to verify the claims within the article. This made the article speedily deletable under WP:CSD#A7. I hope that's made things clearer. By all means let me know if I can help more. All the best. Your edit to TXU

I am sorry, but this will result in a whole set of warnings. I will only transclude those that are relevant now, the rest will follow. May I ask you to discuss your edits first. Thanks.

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, the external links you added to the page TXU do not comply with our guidelines for external links. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you.

If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article TXU, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with,
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors,
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam);
    and you must always:
  4. avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially neutral point of view, verifiability, and autobiography.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see Wikipedia:Business' FAQ. For more details about what constitutes a conflict of interest, please see Wikipedia:Conflict of Interest. Thank you. --Dirk Beetstra T C 19:18, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Retail Electric Provider, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Dirk Beetstra T C 19:19, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have reported your edits to the wikiproject on spam, see Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Spam#Stephen_L._Madden_and_StarTexPower. I hope you will join us in the discussion. Thanks. --Dirk Beetstra T C 19:55, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Can you drop me a link to the company Green Mountain you were talking about, Green Mountain seems to be something else. --Dirk Beetstra T C 21:02, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I found that, Green Mountain Energy (already deleted). Do you know what the link is between Stream Energy, Cirro Energy and Gexa Energy? It appears as if there is a link, but I don't see it in the articles. Hope you can help me here, thanks. --Dirk Beetstra T C 22:14, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
