A third option is to ask a more experienced user such as an administrator.

One last bit of advice: please sign any discussion comment with four tildes (~~~~). The software will automatically convert this into your signature which can be altered in the "Preferences" tab at the top of the screen. I hope I have not overwhelmed you with information. Linking

Hiya. You really shouldn't be putting in links to your own website, no matter how honorable the intent. Please desist. --jpgordon^∇∆∇∆ 16:11, 18 September 2007 (UTC)

How do I reply to you guys?!?!

I had no idea my linking was to be considered as SPAM. On several of the pages I edited, there were already links to Piano Society created by someone else. At least two of them did not point to the correct page after me doing some rearrangement of the site.

Also, I see links to IMSLP.org to which we (Piano Society) has a collaboration with (see their composers pages who all have links to recordings to us), and I cannot understand the difference between them linking to their scores and me linking to our free recordings. Further, there are a lot links to other free recordings sites which are very similar to mine. Please explain.

• Talking to us right here is fine. The real problem is that it's your own site being linked to. See Wikipedia:External links#Advertising and conflicts of interest, where it says You should avoid linking to a website that you own, maintain or represent, even if the guidelines otherwise imply that it should be linked. If the link is to a relevant and informative site that should otherwise be included, please consider mentioning it on the talk page and let neutral and independent Wikipedia editors decide whether to add it. --jpgordon^∇∆∇∆ 05:13, 19 September 2007 (UTC)

I definitely understand your point and will from here do my best to apply to the rules of Wikipedia. I am of course aware of the SPAM problems and have the very same issue on the forum I run along with Piano Society. Please forgive me for stepping over the line.
