STS-118

You posted in your edit summary: "Updated time formats. Standards say: Launch/landing times should be EDT (UTC), Orbit times should be UTC".

Could you please point me to where it says this. Thanks --GW_SimulationsUser Page | Talk 15:19, 8 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your reply. I think it's just a case of me misunderstanding your comment. It seems there is no fixed or enforced format, and we both took information from different sources. I will follow this up with a comment on the proposal which you highlighted. Thanks for your time. --GW_SimulationsUser Page | Talk 18:43, 8 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I saw you were working on STS-117, so I went back a couple, and noticed that STS-115 was split into two articles, and three pages. So per standardizing all articles, I've merged the Timeline of STS-115 into the main article, and posted it for AfD. It had been orphaned since March, and the only link to the page was STS-115 Timeline. The timeline section will definitely need pruning, as it was written during the mission, so is overly long, but I'm willing to do that unless you'd like to. If you feel that merging to standardize was wrong, feel free to pop over to the AfD to discuss it, and accept my sincere apologies. But it seems that there really are very few people active in the WikiProject Space missions, the page had STS-115 listed as a "future" flight, and it was nearly a year ago. Since there is very little activity on that talk page, so I figured I'd just come to you since I've noticed you're one of the few listed who are actively helping to improve the quality of the mission articles. I started on STS-117 and I meant to keep going back, but I have this job thing... As far as STS-115 is concerned, I really wonder how it got split in 3 parts. Strange. I completely agree about A) combining into 1 article and 2) condensing. People get so excited to add the smallest detail when the mission is ongoing, and once the Shuttle has landed, they'll never visit again. So: Go for it! I'll try to help as time permits. Cheers! I completely agree, however, it seems I went about it the wrong way, and I got sort of scolded at AfD for it, so I'm a little discouraged. STS-121 is also split similarly, and will need to be merged and redirected, but I'm going to wait and see how the 115 issue gets worked out prior to doing anything. And that's wild we share the same birthday! What a small world! On my birthday, instead of saying "happy birthday", my mother would say "Et tu, Brutus?" lol. Of course, when I was a child, I had no idea what that meant, but now I associate it with affection, ironic, eh? That "work" thing you speak of, so strange, I've often heard of these people who go out and do such things, but happily enough, I'm not one of them! (~*Giggle*~). Drop me a line any time, if the Space Project is semi-inactive, we can revive it! ArielGold 19:34, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Working on EVAs

Heya, I'm working on the EVA tables, currently I'm on the List of ISS spacewalks, updating it, many from Expedition 14 were missing, and two from Expedition 15 missing, but I'm still missing one. So I'm going through each Expedition by hand, to find it, but wanted to let you know that's what I'm working on. Also, I updated Extra-vehicular_activity#2007_EVAs and added invisible table additions for Monday and Wednesday's EVAs, so all that needs to be done is to add the start/end time, total time, and remove the invisibility markers (in case you grab that one first). Cheers! ArielGold 00:49, 12 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
