Notability of Peckhammer.blip.tv

A tag has been placed on Peckhammer.blip.tv requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. -- Shadowlynk (Talk) 03:49, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

September 2008

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Peckhammer.blip.tv has been reverted. Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): rule: '\bflickr\.com\/photos\b' (link(s): http://www.flickr.com/photos/peckhammer/2141450553/) .

If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! I am working on creating an article about the show's host who is well known in the new media field, particularly in automated educational podcasting and screencasting at the University of Washington. I will link these two articles together. The host is substantiated by numerous newspaper articles and radio interviews.

AfD nomination of Peckhammer.blip.tv

I have nominated Peckhammer.blip.tv, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Peckhammer.blip.tv. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. • The deletion was truly, in my opinion, a bad decision. To Souris40, maybe make a Peckhammer article as a user subpage with "proper" footnotes, and then make the article again. Mrmcdonnell (talk) 20:29, 3 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • I'm thrilled to see it back! Good job and congrats. I'd give you a barn star for your hard work. Mrmcdonnell (talk) 20:34, 11 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Repost of Peckhammer TV

A tag has been placed on Peckhammer TV requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia, because it appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion process. If you can indicate how it is different from the previously posted material, place the template {{hangon}} underneath the other template on the article and put a note on the page's discussion page saying why this article should stay. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. If you believe the original discussion was unjustified, please contact the administrator who deleted the page or use deletion review instead of continuing to recreate the page. Thank you. 67.127.57.254 (talk) 03:10, 21 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Note that Peckhammer TV is not currently up for speedy deletion, but rather the longer, more verbose process of articles for deletion. You should post a comment at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Peckhammer TV if you wish to argue that it should be kept.

Highly recommended advice is at Wikipedia:Arguments to avoid in deletion discussions and Wikipedia:Arguments to make in deletion discussions. Thanks! --Dbratland (talk) 19:31, 28 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for December 7

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Joe Veillette, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Rick Allen and Dave Mathews (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
