Hello SonalSehgalghb. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being employed (or being compensated in any way) by a person, group, company or organization to promote their interests. Paid advocacy on Wikipedia must be disclosed even if you have not specifically been asked to edit Wikipedia. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:SonalSehgalghb. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=SonalSehgalghb|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. bonadea contributions talk 16:15, 26 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

As previously advised, your edits give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:SonalSehgalghb, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=SonalSehgalghb|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia. bonadea contributions talk 19:46, 27 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Tarun Kumar Aich moved to draftspace

Thanks for your contributions to Tarun Kumar Aich. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability, it is promotional and reads like an advertisement and Per WP:PAID, this draft must go through AfC.. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Do not move the page back yourself. bonadea contributions talk 21:04, 2 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Links to draft articles

Information icon Please do not introduce links in actual articles to draft articles, as you did to List of serving generals of the Indian Army. Since a draft is not yet ready for the main article space, it is not in shape for ordinary readers, and links from articles should not go to a draft. Such links are contrary to the Manual of Style. These links have been removed. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 08:58, 3 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome!

Hi @Pickersgill-Cunliffe
Thank you for the warm welcome to the Military history WikiProject!
I'm excited to join this group of dedicated editors and contribute to enhancing the coverage of topics related to military history on Wikipedia.
I appreciate the guidance and resources you've provided. I'll be sure to explore the navigation box, announcements, and the project Academy. Watching the main discussion page and familiarizing myself with the various departments and task forces sounds like a great way to stay engaged and informed.
I look forward to collaborating with everyone and making meaningful contributions. If I have any questions, I'll definitely reach out. Thanks again for the welcome! - SonalSehgalghb (talk) 21:25, 5 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
