Thankyou for disclosing you're connection with Dave, the reason so many editors have opposed you're move is that Dave is disambiguation page listing things called "Dave" just like Mercury and unlike Paris being about the city in France despite having other uses is that the company is likely not the primary topic for "Dave" so although there may be lots of opposition its quite possible it will end up being moved to Dave (company) instead.
