Axis and Axes

I know that an axe chops wood. My correction was still, I believe, correct. The origin of the Cartesian plane is the intersection of the x axis and the y axis. The pluralization of 'axis' is (according to, for instance, the OED) 'axes' (pronounced AK-seez, unlike the pluralization of the chopping tool). Thus the origin could be described as "the intersection of two axes" (meaning "the intersection of more than one axis"). The word needs to be plural because no single axis intersects itself. Thanks for keeping a careful eye on edits, though. LWizard @ 10:43, 12 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The image seems like it wasn't drawn by you, because it has all the signs of being scanned from a book, and it bears a very strong resemblance to a picture I remember from my set of world book encyclopedias. You claim yourself as a source, but did you actually draw it from scratch, or was it scanned? Night Gyr 11:13, 15 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Flag

The image you have linked to (uploaded by another user) contained no source information, and a fair use claim and was being used only on user pages, so I substituted it for Image:Flag of Canada.svg. The flag of Ottawa animation Image:Ottawa2.gif is a derivative work of a copyrighted work, and therefore not freely licensed. Thanks, ed g2stalk 10:46, 18 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

MBA

I really don't understand your insistence on making MBA a disambiguation page. I'm sure even the fine members of the Milwaukee Bar Association would agree that it has but a single primary meaning. But since you seem to be unwilling to even discuss the matter, the least you could do is disambiguate all the pages that link to MBA (here's a hint: 99.99% of them intend Master of Business Administration). Thanks! Ewlyahoocom 11:12, 18 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

CATS

Ooops sorry, didn't know that - Drogo Underburrow 23:59, 20 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Spamming talk pages is bad. Don't do it.

Consider this a warning for spamming user talk pages. Since this almost always is an attempt to bias a discussion, it can be considered disruption and can lead to you being blocked from editing. I'm going to continue a very close watch on that discussion, and any further disruption by you will not be looked upon kindly. I have placed a note next to your comments on that discussion, and also replied to your comments on my talk page. Regards, Syrthiss 17:29, 21 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thats not really how this works. I've now restored Zoe's and my warnings. Do not remove warnings from administrators. Syrthiss 20:43, 21 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"Spam", vandalism, and threats to other members of Wikipedia

SirIsaacBrock, I'm not threatened by your repeated attempts to threaten me. You've already tried to have me marked as a vandal, and that didn't work for obvious reasons -- I'm not a vandal. Any administrator who looks up my contributions can immediately see I'm not a vandal. You bully people, you remove edits with inapropriate edit summary comments ([1], [2], [3]), you remove warnings from your talk page, and then archive the talk page hoping no-one will notice you archived "cleaned up" copies. Please play fair with everyone who contributes to Wikipedia. Please also note that users leaving you messages on your talk page is not spamming, so you leaving messages on various other talk pages telling people to stop 'spamming' when you disagree with opinions is not appropriate ([4], [5], [6], [7]). The talk pages were designed to allow people to contact each other. Please play fairly. --Stephane Charette 02:19, 22 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
