What Vandalism is

I saw your message on admin's page, and as you think your edits are not vandalism, let me tell you why they are.

  • This edit removes sourced material and the sources the material is sourced do. Not only that, you marked the edit as minor. As it removes material that is sourced, and the in-line references the material is sourced to, it is not a minor edit.
  • This edit completely blanks the talk page of the above article of various discussions, and maintenance templates. Blanking is a type of vandalism, and such is not allowed here on wikipedia.

Please do not remove valid sourced material or delete in mass discussions from the article talk page, along with valid templates. These edits are considered vandalism, and are reverted on sight.— Dædαlus Contribs 21:07, 28 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • all I have to do is source it to death even if the sources are not valid - Wrong. The sources must meet our reliable sources policy. Secondly, it is not that sourced material may not be removed, it is is that you removed sourced content without giving a reason as to why.
  • the admin who reverted my edit did it in half a second which means he had no time to check if those sources were valid or even relevant - Wrong again, you have no way of knowing if that said admin had not checked the sources before.
  • So I would like you to show me where in the Wikipedia Policy is that rule that makes removing sourced content vandalism, this is not arguing I really want to learn the way Wikipedia works. - Easy, it can bee seen quite clearly here, that blanking is a form of vandalism, and as you were blanking content, it is classified as vandalism.

Secondly, there are automated tools available that speed up the process of warning vandals. After I leave this message, I can easily leave a largely worded warning against vandalism in a few seconds time. Roughly three seconds. It doesn't take long when you have tools to make the process easier. Further, I personally know the admin you speak of, and I know he isn't a bot.— Dædαlus Contribs 00:06, 29 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
You're still wrong. I'm sick of posting the diff, it is right there. You left no message in your edit summary, he can't read minds, you left no indication of why you had changed it in the edit summary, that is what they are for. I already linked you to the relative policy, where you blank material and give no reason, as shown in the diff. Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when.
