Blocked as sockpuppet

Hi, sorry about this, but admin Rlevse has decided you are my sockpuppet and has blocked you. I suggest you take this up with him/her to get this reversed. And thanks for your support on the Prostatitis Talk page. You may want to make some edits elsewhere too so that you do not condemned again as a Single Purpose Account. Again, my apologies, and do not let this ridiculous action by an overzealous admin put you off editing wikipedia.   Skopp   23:01, 4 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your advice - I'll take it up with the admins. I've not made edits elsewhere as this is the first subject I've felt strongly enough about to post on Wikipedia but there are other subjects I feel I can contribute too and will do after I've talked to an admin. David - apologies for comments re the User and not the content. I genuinely felt that the comments were justified as the reasons behind that User posting is directly relevant to the value of their input. I can understand though the rationale behind the rules and wont stray again. Silverye 08:06, 5 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Silvereye, I am reversing myself basing on what you sent me. What made this look like so many known sock/meat/SPA cases I've seen are editing only one page and the edits directed at a user. Branch out to other articles, talk pages, and areas of wiki. Try to focus on content and stay civil and rational. If you do have comments about a user that need being said, try to always back them up with facts and not merely emotion. Skoppensboer, my action was not ridiculous, it was a pattern of sock/meat/SPA I've seen many times. FYI, this is the only time I've been convinced to reverse myself. To Silvereye, my apologies for the trouble. RlevseTalk 11:05, 5 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Many thanks Rlevse and I've taken your comments on board and will look to become more active in other threads. What also probably didn't help was that I didn't fill my email address into my Wikipedia profile (now updated). Silverye 11:24, 5 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Apology of course accepted :-) (see below too) David Ruben Talk 13:21, 5 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

David - now that I've been unblocked - would it be possible for you to append your comments on the Prostatitis Talk page which says I've been blocked for SPA and a suspected SockPuppet. Many thanks! Silverye 11:29, 5 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Silverye, great to hear of your unblocking and good that Rlevse is big enough to admit a mistake. If you want to ask DR a question, post it under a new heading or in a relevant section on his Talk page. Hope to hear more from you at Prostatitis Talk! I'm proposing to branch the page, now 37Kb, into two pages, and I'd value your comment! Thanks.   Skopp   12:02, 5 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the tip re DR, my unblocking doesn't kick in until the 6th Nov so I'll post him a message there. Yes, I'll probably make further contributions on the Prosatitis page but will ensure I follow the guidelines from now on. Silverye 13:00, 5 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
So noted on Talk:Prostatitis :-) One can't entirely remove things from talk pages (one can view past versions), but once current debate is resolved, much of the talk page will get archived as it is getting quite long. David Ruben Talk 13:21, 5 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Not been around for a while since a newborn son has been taking up my time!Silverye (talk)

Welcome

Apologies accepted and always good to have an editor "back in the fold" as it were :-) Here, let add a standard welcome (template:welcome) that also gives links to some useful introductory articles, but do feel free to ask if you have any questions :-)
