Hi Shilpa and welcome to Wikipedia! I was doing some copyediting on your article when I realized that Wikipedia already has a lengthy article on this subject at Ganesh Chaturthi. I left a note at WikiProject India here. Hopefully, they'll be able to sort something out. Best wishes, and once again welcome., Voceditenore (talk) 11:25, 22 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hi Voceditenore, There is difference between Ganesh Chaturthi and Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav. Sarvjanik Ganoshotsav "was started" by Tilak, whereas Ganesh Chaturthi is something which was/is already there from centuries. "Sarvjanik" Ganoshotsav was started in last century. Thanks for attention. AbhiSuryawanshi (talk) 16:36, 22 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I realize that, but the same information (more or less) already appears in Ganesh Chaturthi#Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak's Revival efforts in Maharashtra. I have no strong feelings one way or another. I'll leave you all to discuss the relative merits of merging with other editors in the area at Talk:Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav. Best wishes, Voceditenore (talk) 18:44, 22 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
