Liquid metal cooling

Could you please explain the sentence "So first a non-evaporating coolant like liquid (and minimum surface-frozen) metal has to be applied" ? (as written on Fukushima I nuclear accidents) It does not make any sense to me. Also, since the whole plant was designed around water cooled operation, just feeding some (low melting point) metal into it should give all sorts of problems I'd guess. Sentence: I know this is quite advanced stuff. Are you experienced with this? Nevertheless, if you read all links and interwikis given (see also Liquid metal above), you find the explanation.

Water cooling is complicated and has a LOT OF PROBLEMS, a solution which only first looks to be easy. Nuclear power is NOT SIMILAR to a coal-fired solution. But currently it is realized like this, which has a LOT OF DISADVANTAGES, including the current accident. See text and links.
As long as they are trying to cool with water, they have a continuing high risk of continuing to waste the radioactivity to the environment.
