Speedy deletion of "Gautam Bose"

A page you created, Gautam Bose, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it is about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how they are important or significant, and thus why they should be included in an encyclopedia. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and the guidelines for biographies in particular.

You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Thank you. ukexpat (talk) 20:10, 30 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Gautam Bose

I have nominated Gautam Bose, an article you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Gautam Bose. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. ukexpat (talk) 12:53, 31 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please make your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Gautam Bose. Note that the discussion is about notability as defined by Wikipedia (see WP:BIO) which needs to be supported by reliable sources - see WP:RS. – ukexpat (talk) 15:41, 2 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I cannot delete the article as I am not at admin. You have a few more days for the Afd to run its course so you can add sources or you can blank the article now and add {{db-author}} in its place and and admin will delete it soon. – ukexpat (talk) 20:44, 2 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your message on my talk page

Thanks for your message. Please see the above welcome message for some useful links. I think the basic problem is revealed by your message where you say, "i [sic] need the article for publicity". Please read WP:NOT - Wikipedia is not an advertising service, it is an encyclopedia, and any "articles" that appear to be promotional will be speedily deleted. Hope this helps. – ukexpat (talk) 21:35, 5 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, but wanting more people to know about your organization is promotion and not the purpose of an encyclopedia. You also have a huge conflict of interest -- if your organisation really is notable someone else will create an encyclopedic article about it eventually. – ukexpat (talk) 22:04, 5 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
