The Salty Kids featuring Joe Morehead(TSKFJM) was a band started by Josh Parker in early 1999 to further plant himself within the Twin Cities rock circuit. TSKFJM was one of the first and few bands in the Twin cities area to become fairly popular using only freely distributed mixed tapes. The Band consisted of Josh Parker(Acustic Guitar/Xylaphone/Backup Vocals/Lyrics), Derek Michael(L. Guitar), A-ron Johnson(R. Guitar), Joe Morehead(Percussion/Distortion/Noise), and Jesse Gangl(Keyboard/Vocals). The band was together for about two and a half years before criticism by thier own fans grew and forced the band members to go their separate ways.

The Salty Kids had their first single in 2002 with "I love the way you massage my back (and feet)". The song was very controversial due to the sexual nature of the song however the band made a statement declaring the song was not ment to imply sexuality however it was a scathing send up of the musical ability of their dummer Joe Morehead. Lead singer Josh Parker insisted that the only reason that Joe was even in the band was because he gave such magnificent back massages.
