NCBN

The article NCBN has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This happened because the article seems to be about a person or group of persons but it does not indicate how or why that person or group is notable. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. You might also want to read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles. Welcome back

Regarding your message...

Great news! I see you are having a bit of trouble with your early stubs. Don't get discouraged. Try and put a little more text in up front, look at the style of other articles for forming an introduction, and tag the articles with {{stub}} (or one of its suboridnates). It takes a bit to get used to but it will work. Saw the stub you started on Pedophile Party. Remember seeing them in the news not too long ago. Good luck expanding out the article. If you need help with it just let me know and I'll try to point you along on getting references setup and the text expanded. --StuffOfInterest 21:25, 27 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

As for Pedophile Party, if they have been in a print publication, then you can cite that publication in a "References" section like so:
   ==References==
Smith, John. Pedophile Party Pushes Controvercial Goals. The Weekly Midtown Newspaper. July 13, 2006
There's a more modern way to do this with a footnote-like facility as well, which you can find at WP:CITE.
If the source is an online source, you can simply cite it inline:
The '''Pedophile Party''' is a controversial [[political party]] in the
    [[United Kingdom]].[http://some.link.example.com/where/you/saw/this/info.html]
That's all there is to it. -Harmil 16:50, 28 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Dorothyscarecrowtinmanlion requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Removing Speedy at Dorothyscarecrowtinmanlion

Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles you created, as you did with Dorothyscarecrowtinmanlion. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please do the following:

  1. Place {{hangon}} on the page. Please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag(s).
  2. Make your case on the article's talk page.

Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 20:29, 6 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Dorothyscarecrowtinmanlion. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 20:34, 6 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Dorothyscarecrowtinmanlion requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Kingpin13 (talk) 20:42, 6 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
