5th Wikipedia Birthday

It is my 5th Wikipedia birthday today. Quite a few more years until I have to worry about Botox, phew.

thanks for the kitten

Now, where are those references?
Is a reference hiding in here?
Haalooo, are there any references down there?

Hi Safehaven13, thanks for the kitten, here are some kittens looking for references to save an article during afd. Coolabahapple (talk) 03:12, 7 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for October 7

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Arnold Shives, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page North Vancouver, British Columbia. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Speedy deletion nomination of Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty

Hello Safehaven86,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. ubiquity (talk) 13:29, 14 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

SPAM OR WIKIPEDIA CHOICE

Most important information for you: for the SPAM misleading articles that seems similar to notable. As it is your choice and freedom for choosing your path or argument on Keep/Delete. This article might put some Light on Idea of Blatant Promotions and SPAM happening on Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Wikipedia_Signpost/2015-04-08/Op-ed Light2021 (talk) 13:43, 14 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

SPAM is a food (not a very good one). I think you may mean spam. ALL CAPS ALSO COMES ACROSS AS SHOUTING, FYI. I think you know quite a bit about spam, since one of your first acts on Wikipedia was to create a corporate spam article. The name of the company was the same as your original username. When the article was nominated for deletion, you engaged in sock-puppetry in order to attempt to sway the discussion. When that was not effective, you went on an angry tirade against several different administrators, accusing them of personal attacks, vendettas and grudges [1], of personal revenge [2], abusing and controlling users accounts [3], discrimination against Indian topics [4], harassment, blocking, humiliation, vandalism [5], hiring goons [6], extreme hatred and arrogance [7], discrimination [8], and sockpuppetry [9]. Phew. You were graciously granted an unblock appeal. After you were unblocked, you added AFD notices to 15 articles, none of which you had actually nominated for deletion. An example of that is here. You then added speedy deletion tags to 12 articles with the rationale that the articles were "patent nonsense". An example of that is here. These articles were not in any way patent nonsense, all of your tags were swiftly reverted, and you were given a final warning from an administrator that you would be blocked if you continued misusing deletion tags. After this you went on a tear of adding completely erroneous "BLP sources" tags to company articles. An example of that is here. You also repeatedly edited my user page even after you were told by me and another editor not to do so. Along the way, you've created many AFD discussions, some justified, some not. You are very keen to label any article about an Indian company as corporate spam. Forgive me if I find your conversion story unconvincing, since only a few months ago, you yourself were creating and publishing the types of articles you now decry as corporate spam. Maybe you are mad that your own company's article was deleted so you are trying to get revenge on Wikipedia (If your company can't have a Wikipedia page, nobody's can!) Maybe since your own company's article was deleted, you're trying to delete as many articles of "the competition" as you can. Whatever you're doing, given your track record here, I'm suspicious of whether you are truly WP:HERE, or whether you have other motives for your behaviors. Safehaven86 (talk) 16:38, 14 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Seems Aggravated! You are so angry that I took back my Barnstar. Good. My own company? Exioms? You mentioned one article that has been created after my presence on Wikipedia and being an editor or contributor here way before creating an article (over 6 years FYI). You seem to have spent lots of time doing research and checking backlog. Good for you. Keep doing it, you will find lots of things!

If that would have been a case : REVENGE? I would have created another Account and do that. I did not do that. Seems relevant to you? I don't think so. Your actions are nothing more than an contributor who make money from keeping all kind of non-sense Wikipedia can produce by misleading sources as you keep discussing on every AfD. Does not even meet Wikipedia criteria. Some of them get saved as they get really old/ tiring for discusssion when contributor like you make everything notable.

I am not here to build accounts to hide my mistakes or make money out of writing wikipedia articles or rescuing them!

On Competition: I must be owning a Multi-Billion Dollar, Diverse company to nominate all kind of articles, from all kind of sectors, from all kind of geography (Not India Alone FYI). And my gain must be miraculously brilliant by not competing those company in real life, but deleting them from Wikipedia. Again "Super Awesome Theory".

(Just the sTuPiD Theory) As people like you here understand the importance of "Blatant promotional Value in Wikipedia". and your paid contribution can easily be tracked if you only make few articles. So it is really good to rescue them and make a Great case study for your client. or Should I also dig your past contributions and how did you behave with others? Nah!! That would be more than enough I guess! and Wikipedia community get to know anyone like them so easily like We did with many cases.

Your efforts, high efforts to KEEEEEEEP Every articles that is covered by any kind of media has miserably failed. And got deleted by the process, not because they are my so called " Company" Competitors, but they are SPAM (the real one 'spam').

Did i put any 'LIGHT' on you? If my company need an article or me as a page, It will have its place with Dignity and with notability set by Wikipedia. I will not require Paid editors to do my work. History should have its place! It would not be wrong (Ethically, morally or as per Wikipedia guidelines ) if I can build something great to be here as part of Encyclopedia! Please check Never Re-Nominated or Listed again for the only Article I tried to wrote with very less knowledge!

The word you like can sometime be co-incidental and make you curious to write about it. I was amateur, still do not know everything about it, in Learning always. and surely not here to make money by nominating MY competitors for deletions (Lots of them!).

Your competition theory is most Bizarre any one can comprehend! But Good Luck! its really FUNNY! (capital but not food/ but food for mind surely)

Don't worry! your baseless WARNINGS (you will be blocked in talk page?) will not stop me contributing here. Not even going to create another account as per your theory. Even someone alike you claims the REVENGE theory!

If community did not accept my apology I would not have been a contributors, or spending my time to research Wiki-SPAM created by few people for their own Purposes. I am really Glad that I am here, and they have given me chance to prove my worth here. I will not disappoint them. I am not here to Prove you. My Actions should be "LOUDER" than my writing to you. Keep waiting!

I'm suspicious of whether you are truly WP:HERE, or whether you have other motives for your behaviors. (suits for you better I guess).Light2021 (talk) 19:23, 14 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You provide significant entertainment value, I'll give you that. Enjoy spreading your LIGHT throughout Wikipedia, but please don't post here again. Safehaven86 (talk) 19:29, 14 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Truth is DARK, and It bites you. Entertainment Surely!! Nothing will make me come here! Good Life ahead. One Great Humble Request to you "Do not come to my TALK page ever. And never Warn me with your ideas" or write even Entertainment Value there on my Talk page. Good to have other Perspective in place. "KEEP" doing it on AfD in future. Read you there! Copyvio on my article, Steve Buckingham(record producer)

Hi Safehaven86,

Please take a look at an article I wrote on Steve Buckingham. MegNordmann edited the article on August 23, 2016 and inserted a lot of information in the lead. Unfortunately, this info is copyvio which appears verbatim on the subject's own website HERE. I'd like to delete the copyvio and restore the article to where it was on August 2nd, but I am a relative newbie and have never done this, especially with some edits being done after this by you. Also, Chrisallen1948 added a line that is unsubstantiated – look at that too. I'd appreciate your weighing in on this. By the way, the original article on this subject contained the same copyvio – please read discussion by Fuhghettaboutit.

Regards, Eagledj (talk) 19:35, 1 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Eagledj: Thanks so much for bringing this to my attention! You are right, the edits made to this article during August include blatant WP:COPYVIO issues. I've restored the article to the version from August 3, prior to the copyright violations being added. Do you think anything else needs to be done, or does it look ok to you now? Safehaven86 (talk) 20:57, 1 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Dear Safehaven86, The article looks fine. Maybe next time I'll have the courage to fix such things myself. You have helped greatly. Thanks, Eagledj (talk) 18:18, 2 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Happy to help! Cheers. Safehaven86 (talk) 20:19, 2 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Happy editing.

The Challenge Series is a current drive on English Wikipedia to encourage article improvements and creations globally through a series of 50,000/10,000/1000 Challenges for different regions, countries and topics. All Wikipedia editors in good standing are invited to participate.

Competitive Enterprise Institute

You have been reverting edits on the Competitive Enterprise Institute that don't violate any WP policies whatsoever. They are verifiable and the intro changes, which quote CEI's website, make the article more neutral. I have conceded on the "dark money ATM" quote and can understand removing that quote but the rest is well within the bounds and should stand. 45.48.250.156 (talk) 23:25, 30 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I have replied on your talk page. I believe you are in error here, as I never removed the Donors Trust information, I simply removed the gratuitously non-neutral description of the donation and placed it in chronological order with the institute's other donations. You seem to believe I removed it, but I think you did not accurately look at the diff. Safehaven86 (talk) 23:28, 30 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

An article about a record album

Hi, Safehaven86-- Thanks for helping on my Steve Buckingham article. I have a little article about a record album. It's in my sandbox HERE. I think it is well referenced — but is there potentially enough to make it stand alone article? It is nowhere near finished and I would certainly add more detail, but before I spend the time, I need advice on WP:PAGEDECIDE. It seems there is wide latitude on stand-alone record album pages; for example HERE. Well--I just found something that may have answered my own question here: Wikipedia:WikiProject Albums. Media Matters for America Charecterization

I note you were very active in accurately characterizing Media Matters for America in that article's lead. Your edits and arguments seemed appropriate to me.

Page of likely interest in jeopardy

A page similar to one you have worked on (ShoutYourAbortion) is in jeopardy. You Know Me movement has been recommended for deletion. If interested, you may want to make a comment at: [10].Dogru144 (talk) 02:24, 21 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Sheila Krumholz requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. – S.
