Disambiguation link

Hi, and thank you for creating A Little Touch of Schmilsson in the Night (TV Special), a link in it is a link to a disambiguation page, specifically this link. Can you please switch this to the intended page as there are multiple ones. Thanks! Dylan | ✉   02:20, 8 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for pointing this out,Dylan! I have removed the link as no relevant page exists to include instead. Warm best. SacredLotus7 (talk) 05:04, 8 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, SacredLotus7, and welcome to Wikipedia. Please avoid wikilinking any term more than twice in an article (no more than once in the lead, and no more than once -- generally the first mention -- in the body text). Also, avoid linking common terms such as England, London, jazz, television show, and so on. Please be as sparing as possible with wikilinking. Thank you, and happy editing. Understood, and thank you for the advice, which I shall follow. SacredLotus7 (talk) 18:58, 9 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

IMDB cannot be used as a citation

Hi SacredLotus7, IMDB cannot be used as a citation, because it is user-generated. Please also do not misrepresent the source of any citation. Softlavender (talk) 10:23, 21 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi SoftLavender, thank you. Prior to your message, I had already removed the IMDB links that were used as citations and replaced them with other sources. Another editor informed me yesterday that IMDB data was user-generated, which I was not previously aware of. As soon as I learned this, I went ahead and replaced the IMDB citations with citations from newspapers and books - see the revision history as of 03:17 yesterday here: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Stanley_Dorfman&diff=1161168953&oldid=1161018959.
You correctly pointed out that I missed a couple of IMDB citations, which you subsequently removed. I appreciate your help in that regard. The reason I missed those citations was because they had both IMDB and BBC mentioned in the citation. This was a mistake on my part when I first started editing Wikipedia. I added BBC as the "publisher" because they broadcasted the shows being referenced. I want to assure you that I did not intend to misrepresent the sources of any citations. I will now double-check to ensure that there are no other occurrences of this issue. Thank you for bringing it to my attention, I appreciate it. SacredLotus7 (talk) 20:30, 21 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
