Invitation to the London Bridge Task Force

Hello! You seem to have an interest in the recent death of Elizabeth II, so I wanted to invite to the WikiProject of Current Events new task force The London Bridge Task Force, which will be working on improving all the articles around the death of Elizabeth II. A task force is similar to a WikiProject, which is where you can communicate with other editors who all have the same goal, which is improving all the articles around a specific topic. I hope you consider joining! Elijahandskip (talk) 23:46, 8 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Reliable sources

I noticed that you referenced Urban Dictionary as "the most basic of sources" in your edit to List of Generation Z slang. It's not considered as a reliable source in our reliable sources guideline. Under the section "Questionable and self-published sources" the subheading "User-generated content" (WP:UGC) says: "Content from websites whose content is largely user-generated is generally unacceptable." Thanks. Rusty4321 talk contribs 19:54, 11 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The nature of slang will be that user generated content is often the only source. The user cannot generate the dates posted, only the words within the post. And those words are dated to 2004, which is infallible, and therefore the word is not modern slang. Thanks. Ruby.Boulton (talk) 17:55, 13 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Ruby.Boulton: If user-generated content is the only source to a slang term we generally consider it non-notable. Notice that on some of the other slang terms there is media coverage; that's what we are looking for to source the slang terms. Rusty4321 talk contribs 22:55, 13 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Then your method is faulty. Ruby.Boulton (talk) 16:58, 14 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
