Niger merger

Hello, I see you have just merged Education in Niger to Niger. Had you noticed that there was a discussion taking place about this at Talk:Niger, where no consensus has been reached yet? --BelovedFreak 19:59, 12 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • I only copied the text from Education in Niger in order to supplement the whole article. I kept the separate article and didn't redirect it. To keep or not to keep the separate article - consensus must be reached, of course I support it. --RoadTrain (talk) 10:16, 13 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I apologise, I misread the history of the article and thought that when you had put "done", it was you that redirected the article, but it was the next editor, so sorry for jumping to conclusions!--BelovedFreak 10:37, 13 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Don't worry, I've understood. And I see that the redirect was cancelled. =)) --RoadTrain (talk) 10:53, 13 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Economy of country table

Given the precedent set here, I think we can just merge/delete them all. Plastikspork (talk) 01:32, 31 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I agree. But firstly we should standartize all articles to use {{Infobox economy}}. And as far as I see you've done this work. --RoadTrain (talk) 21:06, 3 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Update

Hello RoadTrain, I have seen that you have updated List of countries by proven oil reserves. Have you planned to do the same for List of countries by oil imports? If yes, it will be easy to create the page in French language from the english one, so I think I will wait till you finish. Have a nice week end. Skiff (talk) 06:52, 19 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I thought about it. I plan to update all the articles about energy resources which use CIA lists. The only thing that's confusing me is that CIA lists other than proven reserves are outdated (in particular for imports the data are for 2007-2008). I wouldn't be bothered to update the articles manually but since I use special script to grab data it's easy so wait until I finish.--RoadTrain (talk) 13:00, 20 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, I will wait a little. Thanks for your reply. Skiff (talk) 21:35, 29 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

15-hydroxeicosatetraenoic acid

RoadTrain, nice pickup of the hydroxyeicosatetraenoic versus hydroxicosatetraenoic acid confusion. Much of the older literature on these chemicals feared to allow words to have 3 vowels (e.g. y, e, and i) in a row. However the newer literature has no such fears. For consistency with other hydroxyeicosatetraenoic acid pages, the 15-hydroxicosatetraenoic acid page should probably be titled 15-hydroxeicosatetraenoic acid. I know how to do this but would like to have the newly titled page be called up for 15-hydroxyicosatetraenoic acid as well as 15-hydroxeicosatetraenoic acid. Could you tell me how to do this? Thanks. joflaher

Again 15-hydroxeicosatetraenoic acid

MOVE will not allow me to change 15-hydroxicosatetraenoic acid to 15-hydroxeicosatetraenoic acid, stating that the former name is in use although there are no Wikipedia pages using it. What next? Thanks, joflaher

@Joflaher: That's strange, I've just moved it to 15-Hydroxyeicosatetraenoic acid and it went smoothly. Please check if all is right. Maybe the name should also be changed inside the article.--RoadTrain (talk) 19:04, 19 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
The moved page looks good to me too. I will go through the article to change 15-hydroxicosatetraenoic acid to 15-hydroxeicosatetraenoic acid. Thanks again. Now, if someone would just direct me to the cite where I can learn how to use the appropriate way to download references from PubMed...
@Joflaher: Good. I believe there's a tutorial about how to do citations in a simple way. Check Help:Referencing_for_beginners#Using_refToolbar. When you use this toolbar, you can simply insert a PubMedID (it's specified under every abstract on pubmed) into the corresponding field, then click the icon next to the field, and it will automatically populate the rest of fields. Then click insert. That's really handy.--RoadTrain (talk) 20:14, 19 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Interestingly, I tried to move 5-Hydroxyicosatetraenoic acid, but it didn't let me do that. I've made a request for an administrator to do that.--RoadTrain (talk) 20:25, 19 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
