A tag has been placed on Rhinotronics, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Midorihana(talk)(contribs) 07:14, 10 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Techmaster P.E.B. has been reverted.
Your edit here to Techmaster P.E.B. was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links in references which are discouraged per our reliable sources guideline. The reference(s) you added or changed (https://www.discogs.com/artist/56684-Techmaster-PEB) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 23:42, 23 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm LuK3. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Techmaster P.E.B. have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. -- LuK3 (Talk) 15:54, 24 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

What exactly do you mean? I am using a reference that was already there. What do you mean a soap box? I’m stating facts that need to be updated. RHINOTRONICS (talk) 16:14, 24 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

AfC notification: Draft:Base Computer (album) has a new comment

I've left a comment on your Articles for Creation submission, which can be viewed at Draft:Base Computer (album). Thanks! KylieTastic (talk) 16:53, 16 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

It Came From Outer Bass moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, It Came From Outer Bass, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please follow the prompts on the Articles for Creation template atop the page. ... discospinster talk 15:47, 17 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Bass Computer moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Bass Computer, was moved to draft. You have a major WP:COI issue, and in this case were also doing undisclosed paid editing. Because of these issues, you should really go through the WP:AFC process.

September 2020

Information icon

Hello RHINOTRONICS. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:RHINOTRONICS. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=RHINOTRONICS|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. 331dot (talk) 13:39, 18 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing because of the following problems: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group or a web site, which is against the username policy.

You may request a change of name and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions other than promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. 331dot (talk) 13:40, 18 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I am so confused here. I keep fixing everything you guys say that I need to fix and now I am blocked. I am NOT Being paid nor do I have any financial gain by adding these pages. I was tired of seeing them not updated so I took it upon myself to update them and start adding pages for the albums. Everything I am adding is factual and has no opinions in them. I am keeping it so basic and simple. Forgive me I am not a Wikipedia pro so I must not understand, but I am literally looking at other artists pages and following the exact same structure. So how am I breaking any rules? It is so frustrating to see all these hours of work being put in to add information to wikipedia to then just have it taken down without a clear reason. If I am adding things wrong, please tell me so I can fix it correctly. RHINOTRONICS (talk) 13:54, 18 September 2020 (UTC)RHINOTRONICS[reply]

Someone else will review your request, but you stated in the edit summary accompanying this edit that you are "Techmaster P.E.B. 's social media manager"; it seems doubtful that you are not compensated for doing that. In addition, your username is also that of a website/business, which you will need to change. Even if you are not paid, you have a conflict of interest. 331dot (talk) 13:58, 18 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I put that in thinking that would help you stop deleting the pages I am trying to add, so forgive me for that. Who is supposed to add these pages? as far as my name, yes it was a business name from 10+ years ago that is no longer in existence. I would love to change my name on here, but do not know how.. This is a mistake. I am NOT being paid nor do I expect to get paid or have any gain by editing these pages. I am sorry if I confused someone into thinking that but this is not the case. I would like to go back to editing these pages and if I’m doing something wrong in doing so please tell me what I am doing wrong as I feel I am following the rules and guidelines exactly. I am not adding any type of advertising nor any type of opinions. RHINOTRONICS (talk) 14:00, 18 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

So you are not the social media manager of Techmaster PEB? You will need to propose a new username as instructed by the block notice. 331dot (talk) 14:03, 18 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I was unaware that this name of my company from 10+ years ago was a violation and not allowed to use. The Company does not exist, the name is not registered with any company. It is just a name that I kept for personal use. But if it needs to be changed I am OK with this.

Decline reason:

This username already exists, so you'll need to pick a new one. only (talk) 12:21, 27 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You wrote two edit summaries where you said you made the edit "for" Techmaster PEB. What connection do you have with them? 331dot (talk) 11:06, 20 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

331dot (talk) I am just a fan for 30 years. and was tired of seeing incorrect info up about him. The info that wikipedia mods keep reverting it back to is incorrect. I wanted to make sure it was correct and then decided to give the artist a full wikipedia page with albums and everything. I would work for hours on making sure it was all correct and formatted correctly and then you guys would revert it back to the wrong old info. I was frustrated and said that I was a social media manager figuring that would give me some credit for putting in the correct info. I appologoive again, I just didn't know what to do to make this right. also most of the reasons things were reverted were incorrect to. I was using references, I was stating facts, I was following an exact format and using other artists page as a format to follow. I was reading the rules of how to post and I would do all that and still get it reverted. There was no advertising involved in the post, just creating album pages with the factual info about the albums. How do other music artists have the same exact thing and not get banned? I literally would copy another artists page and then change all the info so the format would be exact but with all info pertaining to the correct artist. So all I want to do is correct stuff. As far as my user name. I truly don't understand how anyone would think I am advertising a business when it was a business that went out of business more then 10 years ago. There is no business named Rhinotronics any more. Nor am I saying, hey come shop at Rhinotronics because I made this edit. But if that's your policy to force me to not use the name of my business I had 10+ years ago, I am fine with that. I hope you can understand I was simply trying to make Wikipedia a better place and a source of correct information on Techmaster P.E.B. and I was enjoying doing edits and was already wanting to fix other artist that I see wrong info. So Please let me finish editing. If I am still doing something wrong, at least let me know so I won't make these mistakes. If I need to change my user name, I posted a suggestion. If that name doesn't work, I am willing to try a different name. But the name I suggested has no affiliation with any company ever. Thank you for your Time and I hope we can resolve this. RHINOTRONICS (talk) 11:54, 20 September 2020 (UTC)RHINOTRONICS Is there anything else I need to do? I have requested a name change. 331dot I apologize. Sorry I guess I am absolutely clueless on all these rules and regulations when it comes to Wikipedia. I guess a user would have to somehow know that there is all kinds of rules before doing anything. Seems I keep screwing things up and all I am trying to do is be correct and helpful. You were just very quick about replying and I did the things you asked of me, didn't realize I was being passed on to someone else. Would like to get this resolved is all. Procedural decline only. This unblock request has been open for more than two weeks but has not proven sufficient for any reviewing administrator to take action. I don't buy the explanation for why you said you were Techmaster P.E.B.'s social media manager, as you appear to have made this declaration before making any other edits on Wikipedia, nor do there appear to have been any reversions of content on that page analogous to the content that you later tried to add.
