Rebecca, you are off to an amazing start. I think that if you add to the social facts page some more (maybe even look at who uses the concept in their work?) that would be great. Also, think about looking at the history of the idea. You could totally read up on Durkheim and see where it was that he came up with this idea. Were there other ideas similar at the time? What were the social motivations for coming up with this idea? Remember that he was trying to carve out a discipline separate and apart from psychology. But maybe there is something on the sociohistorical moment of Durkheim that could explain this idea?

I love the Japanese topic, to be honest. I think that you could do a lot on that.
