Juan Ángel Napout

Hi. You used patrolled the article Juan Ángel Napout I created. A couple of things: please read Wikipedia:New pages patrol if you would like to patrol pages.

I quote: "Care should be exercised when reviewing very new pages. Tagging anything other than attack pages, copyvios, vandalism or complete nonsense only a few minutes after creation may only serve to annoy the page author. Remember – if you don't click the 'reviewed' link, the article will remain in the 'unpatrolled' queue, even if you add tags or categories or make other edits to the page. Twinkle users can change their preferences to mark page as patrolled automatically when an article is tagged. Care should be taken to ensure that the author has finished the initial version before you evaluate the page, especially if the new article contains a newpage, inuse, or underconstruction template. A good rule of thumb is to wait about 15 minutes after the last edit before tagging the article (or up to an hour if a newpage tag is present). It may also be helpful to check the editor's contributions history to be sure that you don't offend an experienced editor who has a set plan to create a valid article."

You tagged my article within 10 seconds or so, that's just frustrating. Also you tagged it with needing "more citations fore verification", while each and every statement is sourced and cited! Furthermore you just add a regular non-specific stub tag while not taking the effort to make it as specific as possible, creating only more work for the people doing the actual stub sorting. If you would like to help out with the stubs you could have used Paraguay-footy-bio-stub or Paraguay-business-bio-stub. Crispulop (talk) 13:45, 3 June 2015 (UTC)

Overhasty with the Orphan tagging

Hi Rberchie, I'm over all in favour of Orphan tagging, but not for articles that have only just been created - editors take a little time to create links, so give it 24 hours. By the time you tagged 1897 Mindanao earthquakes for the second time, it had two incoming links, more than enough to satisfy the orphan criteria - that was a bit sloppy. I also have a problem with your use of the orphan tag. You tagged the article Sophia Vandagne which already contained links from Seychelles at the 2000 Summer Olympics and Weightlifting at the 2000 Summer Olympics – Women's 58 kg. I reverted the change you made with an explanation as to why I was doing so, and you then re-added the same tag three minutes later. Can you please stop doing this. WP:ORPHAN

Hi. Have you actually read the guide you are citing? What is an orphan states "Orphaned article: An article with no incoming links which meet the criteria for linking below". All the recent tags you've added on articles I've created all link to 2014 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup squads, therefore they are not orphans. I also suggest you read the rules of use for AWB. When you edited this is was empty - the creating editor had blanked the page.

It wasn't particularly helpful to tag it as "orphan, stub, dead-end".

You could have nominated it for speedy deletion A-3 as having no content whatsoever, but it would have been more precise to tag it for deletion as G-7, blanked by author. PamD 19:51, 27 June 2015 (UTC)

Your use of WP:AWB

Is high time you learn to use WP:AWB. You added orphanage tag to Jonah Ogunniyi Otunla, Ahmed Idris and Accountant General of the Federation when the articles are actually not an orphan. Let me remind you that an orphan is defined as "an article with no links from other pages in the main article namespace". An article is orphaned if no other articles link to it. It is recommended to only place the {{Orphan}} tag if the article has zero incoming links from other articles.In addition, you also tagged Accountant General of the Federation with {{Uncategorized}} when the article was actually added to Category:Nigerian government stubs. Inappropriate use of AWB on articles about beetles
