Hi, friend!

Allow me to introduce myself — my name is Tim Davenport, "Carrite" on Wikipedia, and I live in Corvallis, Oregon, on the western coast of the United States of America. I'm 50 years old and have been active in the Wikipedia project since 2008.

I was just alerted this morning that I've been assigned as a "Wikipedia Ambassador" to be available to answer any questions you might have about your work on the article Life cycle hypothesis. While I do have a Bachelor's degree in Economics, for the last 20 years or more I have concentrated exclusively on matters of history and political biography, so I will not be of much help to you in locating sources.

Fortunately, I do know a good deal about the mechanics of Wikipedia article writing, its sometimes confusing policies and standards, and its unique internal culture. If I may assist you by answering questions relating to any of these matters, please do not hesitate to ask. Just click TALK behind my user name below and leave a message for me on my Wikipedia "Talk Page," or you may email me directly at MutantPop@aol.com. Be sure to put the word WIKIPEDIA in your email header if you contact me directly so the message is not lost as spam.

Thank you for your forthcoming contribution to the project! Carrite (talk) 18:11, 31 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Image issues

Hey, first, let me introduce myself. I am a Campus Ambassador assigned to the India Education Program and specifically to your college. In fact I am a student of your college. I just saw that two of your images have been tagged because you have not specified permissions for them, namely, File:The Life-Cycle Consumption Function.JPG and File:The Effect of Changes in Wealth on the Consumption Function.JPG. I had a look at them and it seems you have taken pictures of images from external sources like a book or some other source which may be Copyrighted material. Hence, it is important that you specify if this is the case or whether you have created these images. You may use an external source as a reference but you cannot use the same material as in the source. It is not only a violation of Wikipedia policy but also a violation of International copyright law. Hence please specify in either User talk:debastein or go directly to the image links provided above and specify permissions. The images will be deleted unless you specify the information. Revert back to me for any issue. --Debastein (talk) 06:55, 14 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hello there. I saw your query on Debastein's talk page [1]. If you actually drew the graphs yourself as well as photographing them then you need to copy and paste the following text on each image page:

==Summary==

*Description: Graph illustrating consumption trends

*Creator/Copyright holder: Drawn and then photographed by [[User:Rai kolkata]] (uploader)

==Licensing==

{{GFDL-self|migration=relicense}}

File source and copyright licensing problem with File:The Effect of Changes in Wealth on the Consumption Function.JPG

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:The Effect of Changes in Wealth on the Consumption Function.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Ramaksoud2000 (talk) 05:04, 18 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
