This article is a well-written, thorough discussion of Positivism. One comment I have to make concerns sources; it seems as though there are no footnotes throughout the paper. As such, if one wanted to find a source from which you got specific information for specific claims you make, they would be unable to do so. Fortunately, that is an easy enough thing to fix. Otherwise, this is really a very well-planned, organized discussion of Positivism. If you wanted, you could possibly add a small history of Comte himself so as to give some background to the man who created Positivism; however, this paper already stands very well on its own as a history of Positivism itself, and although it might be nice to know more about Comte and perhaps how he came to create his theories, it is not entirely necessary. 128.36.38.249 03:22, 6 December 2006 (UTC)Jenna Friedenthal[reply]

Peer review by Tyler:

This was a thorough and extensive article and I feel it covered the ideas surrounding Positivism very well. One comment I have is the introduction. I feel that it is a bit lengthy and is not as concise as it possibly could be. I realize that this is difficult to do and could be difficult to eliminate parst of the introduction but a shorter more focused introduction will lead to a better article. Other than this I feel that this is an excellent article and there is not much change needed. Minor proofreading could be useful but other than the intro I think it is a pretty complete article.

Peer review by Matt: I really liked this article. I thought it was well-organized and had loads of information. It was intersting to read because we spent so much time on this topic in class, yet, according to your article, there is so much more to know about positivism. I thought the introduction, though well-written and informative, could be condensed to make it easier to read. I liked how you organized the section, 'Key Aspects of Positivism,' into a straightforward list, instead of dragging it out in paragraph form. Overall, the article was enjoyable.
