Edenderry Wikipedia page query

Hi there , I'm pretty new here and would appreciate your thoughts. You recently reverted my addition of an external link to the "education" section of the Edenderry page. Would an external link refering to the "history" subpage be suitable as it provides information relating to historical education at large in Edenderry? Thanks in advance 😃. I wasn't promoting nothing on my edit...

I recently noticed you changed my edit beacuse "promoting yourself". I AM NOT. Do you think this: Raven Brooks Online (RBO) is an upcoming game from the Hello Neighbor franchise that offers players the opportunity to step into the shoes of either the Protector or an Intruder. As an Intruder, players must strategically steal loot from the Protector's home and other Intruders while navigating through a highly emergent multiplayer sandbox environment. Developed by the creator of Hello Neighbor, RBO promises to provide an immersive and thrilling experience for players looking for a unique and challenging gameplay experience. Raven Brooks Online entered public playtesting on February 16, 2023, but was closed just 3 days later. - Is promoting my self?! Hi, thanks for reaching out. As a Geometry Dash fan myself, my issues with your addition mainly come down to the fact that Wikipedia doesn't have to include everything regarding a subject. All of the text about memes (lobotomy levels / fire in the hole) is irrelevant, especially since it will be dated very quickly in a few more months or years (as most memes are).

Other videogame pages don't have entries on memes, or specifically talking about mod loaders (like the Minecraft page). Minecraft objectively has a bigger modding scene than geometry dash, so it makes sense to give a nod to it - but it is not needed at all on the gd page.

BUT, I've found a decent source for your Top 1 heading here: https://www.pockettactics.com/geometry-dash/demonlist. I think that everything except the Top 1 content needs to be removed. Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia! :D -REDACTED403 (talk) 12:40, 17 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Content reverted automatically even if it's correct and adds many quality references

Hello,

I have just submitted some updates on a biography page and you've reverted all my changes even if they are correct and actually useful as they bring many references to the updated content. This content is not promotional as you can see from the text and the references, it only updates a very old biography.

Why have you reverted the changes?

@Dcgavril. While you do add some references, the bulk of my issue with your edit comes from the very promotional and non-neutral tone. Calling someone an "innovator", "pioneer", talking about their "passions", their "holistic" approach sounds like the person is being introduced at some conference, or their LinkedIn bio. I understand what you are saying, I will remove the "innovator" mention and send a new edit, but you've even reverted even the simple photo update, it seems more of an issue with me and not the updates themselves, so even if you are pointing out some ways to write a biography it is not fair what you've done as I'm also losing time improving the content on Wikipedia. Sorry bout the photo revert, that was a byproduct of how my software works. That should be fine to add back in as long as the photo is in public domain. I definitely don't have an issue with you specifically, check my contribution history to see the amount of edits I work with. If you're doing this for an assignment, you would've gotten a poor mark from what you added before. We can definitely improve it though, please read the guidelines on POV fully and have another go. I read over the NPOV stuff and it seems I was within guidelines. who determines what is or is not neutral? Is there anyway you can allow someone else to determine if it is not neutral? The information I included did not seem to have a bias for the company. It is just quotes from websites about the company and using them does not seem to make me feel as though I am being bias.
