Commons category for your upload

Please tag Commons:Category:Naphthalene and commons:Category:Sublimation when you upload your photos. Also, please see if it is possible to add your photos/content regarding sublimation to the article naphthalene as well. Naphthalene is rather well written and you may need to see an example on how to include sublimation into the article from Dry ice. --Taweetham (talk) 07:50, 22 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Photos
  • If you want to discuss the photo issue on the sublimation article, you may do so at Talk:Sublimation.
  • The article Naphthalene has no real photos of the substance yet. You may want to try there instead.

  1. Here is another example of discussion of sublimation in a compound article, Carbon_dioxide#Physical_properties. You need to understand the format and structure of an article to be able to add new contributions to a well-written article.
  2. The caption of your photos should be appropriate for the context. If it is to depict the process, then you put the process (physical transition, reaction, etc) there. If it is to depict a compound, you will say it is the compound and perhaps a short description.
  3. Talk:Naphthalene and Talk:Sublimation are the pages where you may discuss what you may want to add to the articles.

Wikipedia is not a textbook

Wikipedia is not the place to explain concepts, but to summarize knowledge. Some of your contributions on sublimation seem to be aimed at explaining things. Laudable, but not the thing for Wikipedia. See WP:NOTTEXTBOOK. --Smokefoot (talk) 13:22, 27 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

You are invited to the meet up. --Taweetham (talk) 08:32, 16 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
