Picapica, we would like you to become a member of the Football Variants Taskforce of WikiProject Football.

Hello Picapica, it is nice to meet you. I came across your page when I went through the list of people who had edited articles in this category about Football variants, and I wondered if you were intrested in joining a new taskforce that covers this category, as we are looking for members. Thank you for your time - DeMoN2009

Many thanks for the invitation, Alistair. I am, though – I think I should tell you – far from being any kind of expert on sport. Such interventions as I may have made on the subject of Association Football variants will have had far more to do, I suspect, with my interest in proofreading/copyediting than anything else. I'd be very happy, all the same, to take a look at the FV project to see if I can be of any help, and will certainly do so shortly. -- Picapica (talk) 17:02, 15 December 2008 (UTC)

Well spotted!

Good move and thanks for finding it under such an obscure name. BTW, I've added the nXX BBC stations to the foot of {{BBC Radio}} so they all link up. Thanks for the hard work on historical BBC stations - very much appreciated. ➨ ЯEDVERS a reasonably good buy 14:49, 10 January 2009 (UTC)

1 July birthdates for Welsh rugby players

Thanks for taking the time to fill in missing birthdates for a couple of the Welsh players. Unfortunately the 1 July date given by the WRU is incorrect. They use it as a standard 'start of the season' date when they do not have the actual birth date. Cheers again FruitMonkey (talk) 17:24, 22 October 2009 (UTC)

OK - and thanks for pointing that out, FM. (I must say I did find it a bit odd that two previously "birthdate unknown" players were both shown as being born on 1 July!) --Picapica (talk) 17:28, 22 October 2009 (UTC)

Date linking

Hi Picapica, just thought you may like to know that the linking of dates, especially for dates of birth/death are no longer standards and should not be used. It is now classed as Overlinking. FruitMonkey (talk) 16:22, 27 November 2009 (UTC)
