Dear Tenida, :)

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Dept Of East Asian Studies, Delhi University., by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Dept Of East Asian Studies, Delhi University. is a redirect to a non-existent page (CSD R1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Dept Of East Asian Studies, Delhi University., please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Good work

Good work tenida. Keep contributing about Bengali film and related people.- Jayanta Nath (Talk|Contrb) 09:31, 9 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

you can use {{Bengali-film-stub}} instead of {{India-film-stub}} for Bengali film stubs. FYI -- Tinu Cherian - 12:46, 10 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I did not do much change on this page. As such I don't have a ref for results before 2000. I'll check if I can find something. Feel free to add this info or to add a link with this info, if you find a link. Thanks.--GDibyendu (talk) 07:55, 13 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I am also saying same as GD said. Also I add if you can find any kind of that data any news paper or book, you can add this with that reference. Please do not hesitate to contact me.- Jayanta Nath (Talk|Contrb) 11:27, 13 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

University of Calcutta

Please explain why you removed the advert tag from the University of Calcutta article. I have restored the tag as I consider it totally justified. Afterwriting (talk) 13:31, 5 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It does not seem like, this article is written like an advertisement, thus the ad-tag is irrelevant in this case. However, in comparisn to IIT Kharagpur(which is a featured article), it looks like a rough collection of information that will need to be rewritten to bring it to an upper Class level in the quality scale. Thanks. Ritwikbmca (talk) 13:57, 7 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Template:University of Calcutta

Hi, Hmm Template:Boston University does look nicer and everything stands out better. The problem though is, I feel anyway, that any links should be clearly distinguished from non-links so as to improve usability: If you make the colour of a non-link, red or blue, or the colour of a link anything other than its standard colour, people can't tell whether they can click on a word or phrase to go to another article or not. It might be an idea to change the banner colour at Template:University of Calcutta though. In fact, is there university colours or anything like that for the university? If so, maybe the template could be put into those colours. Template:Boston University also looks better organised because it has sidebars rather than headings down the middle so doing that at Template:University of Calcutta might be an idea. Your addition to Chorus (1974 film) has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other websites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of article content such as sentences or images. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Theleftorium (talk) 11:55, 14 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've also removed copyright infringement from Padatik, Calcutta 71, and Eden Girls' College, Bangladesh. If you continue to do this, you will be blocked. Theleftorium (talk) 12:03, 14 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Benimadhab Barua

The current lead part of the article is a massive copyvio, repeatedly added by a well-meaning but clueless anon IP. Please don't spend time wikifying the content ... if you can rewrite the article using the info from the copyvio portion, that will be great. But otherwise, I am afraid we'd have to revert to a pre-copyvio, but also pre-your copyedits version. --Ragib (talk) 06:38, 18 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hope this helps. --Ragib (talk) 07:06, 18 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Photo deletion

Someone has deleted two photos from Diptendu Pramanick - the logs of the page or the history does not show the deletion and the photos are not traceable. Could you please tell me how to track the change? Tinkswiki (talk) 15:11, 9 February 2011 (UTC) The photos at the end (invitation cards) were deleted. The message was left at (talk). Had to put the rationale in the template form - although the rationale was present earlier too. Seems lot of people have lot of spare time for such frills. Thx anyway. Tinkswiki (talk) 16:26, 4 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Vice-Chancellors by university in India requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. ttonyb (talk) 00:46, 28 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification

Hi. When you recently edited Pulak Bandyopadhyay, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Hooghly (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

The reference cited (the report) mentions at page 129 that CU has 204 colleges. But says 171 at page 3! You have any clue?--Dwaipayan (talk) 02:44, 25 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I saw your argument in the edit summary. That is ok, not mentioning the number of colleges under one particular university. Moreover, when we are not sure about the number. But what should we say in the CU article itself?--Dwaipayan (talk) 16:19, 25 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Merger proposal

Please see Talk:Gauḍa region. Aditya Kabir has proposed merger of Gaur, West Bengal with Gauḍa region and I am opposing it. Cheers. - Chandan Guha (talk) 01:00, 1 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Declaration of War

They were fighting the legitimate government of India. 'Freedom fighters' just makes them self admitted traitors.

Treason is only forgiven if you win. Those rebels lost.

Andrew Swallow (talk) 15:39, 12 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

George Washington was fully aware that he was a traitor. He knew what fate was waiting for him if he lost. "Hang together or we will hang apart" was both true and a joke.

The edits have been reverted back by another user already. May be the new user is not much aware about the Wiki rules, and already a warning has been placed on the user's talk page. I am keeping it in my watchlist for now. Amartyabag TALK2ME 04:31, 4 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
