Rugby League Abroad

Do you think that we should use the phrase "international rugby league" instead of "rugby league abroad"? Using abroad places the reader in a particular geographical context, whereas "internation" is more neutral.--dan, dan and dan 23:20, 5 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I wondered this myself. I can't remember why, but I disliked international rugby league. Perhaps because it didn't describe what I was trying to do. I'll keep this in mind, truth is, the section changes just about every time I touch it. For example, there is the culture section now, which came out of my babbling from the international section. I'll have to make a final decision on which parts to keep. A culture section would be nice. It would give us a place to pool all the ru vs rl wars such as in France, NZ and SA. As well as give us a place to describe how rl affects to the people of a nation, particularly in PNG. All very interesting things. POds 03:25, 6 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

The first regular international competition was between New Zealand and GB, not Australia. The Kiwis follows up their 1907 tour with regular returns, just as the Aussies did. I will get back to fixing this bit up later.--dan, dan and dan 03:19, 19 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Sources

I am going to add some sources to this page. I won't be doing anything that isn't on the web at the moment (as I am away on holidays) but I intend to fully footnote and reference the article.--dan, dan and dan 02:45, 19 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
