Tips
  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Sign your messages with four tildes (~~~~), be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
  • Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Happy editing! Cheers, Helen(💬📖) 19:17, 21 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Source?

What is the source of the district information that you're adding to various articles? Can you please include your source in a citation within the text? Content without a citation can be removed as unverified. If you need help just let me know. -- Fyrael (talk) 17:20, 22 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences.

Hello Oldhedge, and thanks for your contributions. Adding a couple notes to the above template-generated message:

  • Please try to consolidate your edits, at least at the section level, to avoid cluttering the page's edit history; this makes it easier for your fellow editors to understand your intentions, and makes it easier for those monitoring activity on the article.
  • The show preview button (beside the "publish changes" button) is helpful for this; use it to view your changes incrementally before finally saving the page once you're satisfied with your edits.

Hi, Eric. Thank you for your advices. I`ll try to follow it. --Oldhedge (talk) 19:51, 23 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You're not following it. In addition, the majority of your edits are either unsourced or unreliably sourced. Many are also poorly crafted because your English is not very good. This kind of editing is disruptive; consider this your only warning. If you persist, you risk being blocked.--Bbb23 (talk) 18:22, 27 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Donald Albury. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Deerfield Beach Arboretum, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Donald Albury 18:24, 27 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

After seeing the other warnings on this page, I am going to expand my comments. The 'source' you cited in the Deerfield Beach Arboretum article was in French in a book about the politics of Quebec, behind a paywall (Jstor, which I happen to have a subscription to). I find it very difficult to understand how you thought that article supported anything about the Deerfield Beach Arboretum. As Bbb23 has posted his latest warning to you only a few minutes before I posted here, I will not block you. But, if I catch you adding unsourced information to another article, or citing false sources in an article, I will block you. - Donald Albury 18:36, 27 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. In a recent edit to the page Schloss Rosenau, Coburg, you changed one or more words or styles from one national variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles.

For a subject exclusively related to the United Kingdom (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. For something related to another English-speaking country, such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, India, or Pakistan use the variety of English used there. For an international topic, use the form of English that the original author of the article used.

In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to another, even if you don't normally use the version in which the article is written. Respect other people's versions of English. They, in turn, should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Manual of Style. If you have any questions about this, you can ask me on my talk page or visit the help desk. Thank you. AusLondonder (talk) 13:47, 29 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I see you have also done the same thing here, also today. Please stop these disruptive, unnecessary edits. AusLondonder (talk) 13:52, 29 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@AusLondonder, thank you for your comment. I will avoid such edits in the future Oldhedge (talk) 13:55, 29 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, you have made some useful edits but can I also ask you to use an edit summary in future? More information about edit summaries is at WP:ES. AusLondonder (talk) 14:03, 29 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Oldhedge: A query here. What was this edit about? A party scheduled for 11 years ago? AusLondonder (talk) 14:39, 29 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
