Please help me with...

Hi

I have been trying to add information to the "Kilmory Highland" page but my additions appear to have been deleted. How do I prevent this? The information I added was completely non controversial and an update to material that I first entered on the page over ten years ago.

Thanks

Paul (OcklePoint)

In consulting the article edit history, your edits were removed as unsourced. All information in an article must be sourced to an independent reliable source. 331dot (talk) 15:17, 26 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

There are no other sources for the information I was contributing. If you are in the village you can count the houses and count the people who live there. There are no official statistics. Its simple observation. You are overcomplicating something that is very simple.............and putting regular people off from contributing.........as I contributed 75% of the Kilmory Highland entry

Keep it simple

OcklePoint, if there are no sources for the information, then the information shouldn't be in the encyclopedia. Can you imagine what this site would be if we just hosted what every single person said to be the truth, and took their words for it.
We don't host originally research, and this is one of the most fundamental policies we have here. ~~ OxonAlex - talk 15:51, 26 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
