Turning off visual editor

Hey Jeffrey, I saw you are quite frustrated (as was I) with the visual editor. You can "disable" it by going to Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-gadgets and under "editing" the very top check box will be "Remove the VisualEditor from the user interface", so you can click that to turn it off. Yes. This is from the IETF, which approved the standard: Comments on draft-ietf-websec-key-pinning. This is from OWASP, which is an organization dedicated to software security: Certificate and Public Key Pinning | HTTP Pinning

the former is an email to the IETF, and the latter appears to be a) an unofficial "wiki", and b) cites... Wikipedia as the source of information. furthermore, while the first source does complain about the first "reason", it does not appear to state anything about the second, i.e. "The reporting of the broken pinset is called out as MUST NOT report". I was unable to find any "MUST NOT" sections in the RFC related to the reporting, so I am removing that part from the article. feel free to reinstate it if you have some references. ⁓ Hello71 15:52, 28 June 2015 (UTC)

Hi Noloader! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia — it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. I have removed your question at ANI because the thread is now closed so discussion should not be added further. To answer your question, as I stated in my closure statement for the thread, no action is necessary so no action is being taken. As several people tried to tell you in the thread, while you may perceive it as stalking or harassment, none has occurred. Other users can review other’s contributions at any time. The other user admitted a mistake and fixed it. There’s nothing else to be done.

I think Wikipedia should take the harassment and stalking a bit more seriously. There was no reason to go into my profile, look at my history and then revert valid edits. Not only is the harassment or stalking unacceptable behavior, the reversion [out of spite] to a broken page harmed the site. There is absolutely no excuse to allow a user to break pages in an effort to spite another user.

And to be clear, I understand edits will happen all the time. I have no problem with it. It is the harassing or stalking a user through his or her profile I have a problem with.

I sincerely hope I never work for the company you work for. I image a very hostile environment where your company allows all kinds of toxic behavior and inappropriate comments. Seriously.

It is easy to resolve this in an appropriate manner. Recognize that this edit was wrong on several different levels: Open Access 966291239. First, the reversion occurred due to spite. There were no technical or editorial reasons to perform it. Second, the revision occurred because he/she found it by stalking me through my profile. Third, the reversion put the page back into a broken state.

Hello, I saw that you recently added a claim that Kelo v. City of New London was "one of the worst", but you did not provide sufficient sourcing for this claim. The case is not mentioned in two of your sources, a third is a YouTube video, and a fourth is a blog, the latter two are not WP:RS. If you can show that he meets the "work in the relevant field has previously been published by reliable, independent publications" of WP:SELFPUBLISH, go ahead. You seem to have a problem with the platform (like YouTube or Wordpress), but make an argument against the content provider (like the doctor) or the content (media he/she produced on the subject). I think that's disingenuous. Its OK to dislike the platform, but you can't claim all content providers on the platform are junk. That's a logical fallacy.
