Madoff

Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to Bernie Madoff. Your edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. Bernie Madoff is a criminal after his own guilty plea. We don't need to wait for his sentencing to refer to him as a criminal in the BLP. Noisedoes1 is absolutely correct here. Many people are technically "criminals," but that does not mean it is appropriate to label them as such. Steal a pack of gum from a convenience store, and you've committed a crime, and hence are a criminal. But until reliable sources start referring to you as such--in the manner in which they might refer to, say, Jesse James or Bugs Moran--your encyclopedic identity is not that of "criminal."
