Speedy deletion nomination of Jessy J

A tag has been placed on Jessy J requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. October 2009

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you.--The very model of a minor general (talk) 00:36, 4 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I've restored that speedy deletion tag. Please follow the advice above (regarding using {{hangon}} and discussion on the article's talk page). Administrators will look on that page to see if there's a plan to improve the article, and if they see one, will cancel the deletion. TheFeds 01:17, 4 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop removing speedy deletion notices from pages that you have created yourself, as you did with Jessy J. If you continue, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia.   — Jeff G. (talk|contribs) 04:31, 4 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi and thank you for your request! I've looked over your request and left a comment. Please check the comment and respond at your request on the main Images for Upload page (not here). Your request will stay there for seven days and then it will be archived. Regards,—SpaceFlight89 05:56, 6 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Noted your response. Sorry but I can't upload this particular photo because it is non-free and Wikipedia's image policy doesn't allow the use of such content (WP:CFAQ). In the future if you click a photo of Jessy J yourself, or find a free image somewhere, feel free to upload it to commons. Thanks, —SpaceFlight89 15:45, 6 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • The flickr user has given you the permission? If so, ask them to change the license under "Additional details" on the flickr page to CC-BY-SA or CC-BY (Right now its licensed under CC-BY-NC-SA, which is unacceptable). —SpaceFlight89 20:25, 6 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Jessy J has been reverted.
Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. I removed the following link(s): http://www.myspace.com/jessyjsax (matching the regex rule \bmyspace\.com).
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page.
