Information icon Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit(s) you made to Amit Dutta, did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. A few things of note:

1. IMDb is not a reliable source and should be used sparingly, if at all.

2. Lists of things like films and awards should be limited to the most well-known, generally those with existing wiki articles, and those of high importance (i.e. it's inappropriate to list every single indy movie someone makes, especially if the coverage is limited; stick with ones that have won awards).

3. Claims on biographies have to be properly sourced. If the information can't be confirmed then it must be removed, per BLP guidelines.

4. Articles need to be encyclopedic. Avoid WP:PUFFERY and biased language. Lindsey40186 (talk) 00:40, 30 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Lindsey! Hope this finds you well! Thank you for your message! Following your edit, I added more reliable citations. Removed awards where it was appearing again (in front of the filmography). IMDB sources were either removed or kept where those were necessary. I had also checked the language carefully, it was moderate, all from very important sources with the most reliable citations. Sadly, you have removed the most important screenings, for example, MoMA (with the MoMA page itself as a source), Centre Pompidou (with the Centre Pompidou page itself as a source), and Smithsonian Museum (with its own website as a source). Also, some of the awards you have removed are most important in an experimental filmmaking world. People who might be coming to read about an experimental filmmaker like him might appreciate those. I request you to please look at my latest edit carefully. And if possible, please reinstate my latest version. I can edit it further and make it more concise, which will be closer to the length you are recommending but with more meaningful and serious achievements, thanks once again for writing to me = Anavati (talk) 02:46, 30 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
