Speedy deletion of Naresh Gehi

A tag has been placed on Naresh Gehi requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. April 2009

If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Naresh Gehi, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors;
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam); and,
  4. avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. For more details about what, exactly, constitutes a conflict of interest, please see our conflict of interest guidelines. Thank you. KhalfaniKhaldun 07:50, 13 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Naresh Gehi. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. KhalfaniKhaldun 08:00, 13 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop removing speedy deletion notices from pages that you have created yourself, as you did with Naresh Gehi. If you continue, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. KhalfaniKhaldun 08:04, 13 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of US immigration lawyer Gehi

A tag has been placed on US immigration lawyer Gehi requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. OliverTwisted (Talk) (Stuff) 09:53, 13 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You should wait for others to write an article about subjects in which you are personally involved, as you did at Naresh Gehi. This applies to articles about you, your achievements, your band, your business, your publications, your website, your relatives, and any other possible conflict of interest.

Creating an article about yourself is strongly discouraged. If you create such an article, it might be listed on articles for deletion. Deletion is not certain, but many feel strongly that you should not start articles about yourself. This is because independent creation encourages independent validation of both significance and verifiability. All edits to articles must conform to Wikipedia:No original research, Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, and Wikipedia:Verifiability.

If you are not "notable" under Wikipedia guidelines, creating an article about yourself may violate the policy that Wikipedia is not a personal webspace provider and would thus qualify for speedy deletion. If your achievements, etc., are verifiable and genuinely notable, and thus suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later. (See Wikipedia:Wikipedians with articles.) Thank you. OliverTwisted (Talk) (Stuff) 09:58, 13 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Help

how can I add biography of a person?

Hi Naresh Gehi and welcome to Wikipedia. You can add a biography of a person by creating a page for them. Before doing this however I would read the following Wikipedia guidelines, Your First Article, Biographies of Living People & Notability.
It looks from your talk page that you have tried to create an article about yourself, as there is potential for a conflict of interest here given that you have a vested interest in promoting your professional services by having them listed on Wikipedia I would also read Wikipedia's Conflict of Interest guidance.
If you still require help after reading the guidance, or you would like anything clarified for you then please don't hesitate to post a message on my talk page. Or if you would like a more speedy response use the helpme template that you used before and somebody will be along to help you out. Regards -Noosentaal·talk· 11:01, 13 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It means that I must not include my own biography in wikipedia. I am sorry for asking question again and again . I just want to get a clear information.
If you read the warnings that you have been given repeatedly on this page you will see that other Wikipedia editors do not believe that you did not include enough information to explain why you were notable enough to constitute an article. If you believe that you are notable enough to constitute an article I would advise that you discuss the matter with the editors that recommended your article for deletion in the first place, they may be able to help you improve it to the required standard. -Noosentaal·talk· 09:45, 14 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I am a notable lawyer in new york. I have gone through many complicated immigration cases. Many clients may be interested in knowing about me.So, what is wrong in placing article relating to my biography.This is only my explanation. If still wikipedia editors feel that it is inappropriate , I am not going to violate the rules.

Thank you

I understand your point, and sympathise with you but unfortunately Wikipedia is unable to host this information as it is not encyclopaedic content. As a general guideline, look for similar information on Wikipedia, if it is included then there is an argument for inclusion of your information. In your case, look for your contemporaries, if they have a Wikipedia article then maybe you are notable enough to also have one. If they don't then that confirms the initial decision taken by the editor that deleted your page. I do however hope that now you have joined Wikipedia that you will stay and participate in the project. If you would like any further advise on this, or any other matter, please feel free to leave a message at my talk page. Regards -Noosentaal·talk· 10:28, 14 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

RFA

Request For Adminship (RFA) is where editors make a request for aditional technical abilities (sometimes called "tools") as an administrator or sysop (see WP:ADMIN). Although there are no minimum requirements administrators are trusted members of the community, generally with many thousands of edits to Wikipedia. Hope that helps. This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits. The next time you insert a spam link, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines. OhNoitsJamie Talk 13:41, 15 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I am not spamming, I inserted a useful lecture ,which is very informative about green cards. Our website has very informative articles which can help many users.Can I have the information on which types of links to be inserted in wikipedia articles.

It's not that the links are spam, but because your additions are links to your own website people see it as such. If you want to post your own website as an external link I highly suggest taking it to the article's talk page first so other users don't see it as promoting yourself.
