Hi Nampeyo -- Please don't remove maintenance tags on articles that you have contributed yourself. DGG and I are both administrators who specialise in this area, and we both agree that the biography is sufficiently promotional to merit consideration for deletion. The content remains clearly promotional and lacking in sufficient independent sources.

What is needed is to focus the article on what makes Dr Lanman notable, based as far as possible on reliable independent sources (eg books, newspapers, academic journals) that talk about him or his work. After that is clearly laid out, additional material can be added to flesh out the biographical picture from sources that are connected to the subject. Some further advice

I suggest you aim not at just removing a few percent of the promotional wording, but aim at shortening the article to half the current size; that's what I would do if I were to rewrite it myself. And, do you perhaps have any conflict of interest, as we define at at WP:COI? If it is in any sense a paid COI, see also WP:PAID. DGG ( talk ) 02:27, 2 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Advice appreciated

Not sure how to use this forum but I added note to extensive revisions today that explain I am not paid, nor family, but in the field (cancer) and know Lanman's contributions well. Added refs to establish notability, altered 1st paragraph to set general theme of his introducing less invasive and better diagnostics, and cut article by half, at least. Thanks for pushing me in the right directions.
