Welcome!

Hello, NBAfanAndrew, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created is an unreferenced biography of a living person. The Wikipedia community has decided that all biographies of living persons (BLPs) created after 18 March 2010 must have reliable sources, or they can be deleted.

This is not a judgement of the quality or notability of your article. If someone has put a {{prod blp}} template on the article (click this link to see what it looks like), you have ten days to add at least one reliable source to the article. Once you have added at least one reliable source to the article, you can remove the template. (To learn more about what is a reliable source, read Wikipedia:Reliable sources, and to learn how to cite sources, read Wikipedia:Citing sources. Or if you want an easier newcomer's look at citing sources, read Help:External links and references first.)

Going over some of the pages below will help you get a sense of Wikipedia, and knowing about Wikipedia's most important policies will help keep you out of trouble here (click [show] to see the links):

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!  Vanjagenije (talk) 23:07, 1 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, NBAfanAndrew. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, E.J Singler, for deletion because it's a biography of a living person that lacks references. If you don't want E.J Singler to be deleted, please add a reference to the article.

If you don't understand this message, you can leave a note on my talk page.

Thanks, Vanjagenije (talk) 23:06, 1 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on DeQuin Evans requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Jinkinson talk to me 21:45, 3 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Kenny Kadji

You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

The article Kenny Kadji has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article, which appeared to be about a real person, individual animal, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 21:46, 3 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Creating basketball player articles

Hello. As you can see from your Talk page, many of your creations are in various stages of the deletion process. I'd like to ask that if you are planning to write basketball articles going forward, you familiarize yourself with these notability guidelines: WP:NBASKETBALL and WP:NCOLLATH. If you are creating articles on players who do not expressly meet one or both of these standards (played regular season games in a named league, won one of the named college awards, etc) they need to meet Wikipedia's General Notability Guideline (GNG). In these cases, the articles need to clearly demonstrate that the subject is notable - with sources. Several of the players you created articles for actually meet GNG, but you can't tell from the article. So they are being put up for deletion and it is creating a lot of work for other editors to "save" the articles and bring them up to the level where they meet GNG. I would ask that you slow down your production and spend some of that time just writing more complete articles. An article that says "Player X is in the D-League and once went to training camp with the Atlanta Hawks" is not going to last long. If you would like help learning how to write basketball articles, I will be happy to work with you. Thanks. Rikster2 (talk) 18:53, 25 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for August 6

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of current National Basketball Association broadcasters, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Eric Smith. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 08:59, 6 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Bagumba. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Louis Williams without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; I restored the removed content. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. —Bagumba (talk) 05:55, 7 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Nigel King (American football) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
