Given the level of activity at TAFI, many suitable pages are being archived before there's much of any discussion about them. I'd therefore like to request that "auto_unapprove_offset" be increased to six weeks (42 days). {{u|Sdkb}}talk 19:17, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the ping. This sounds fine to me, if that's what you want. @Northamerica1000 and BabbaQ: what do you think? MusikAnimal talk 03:49, 22 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Works for me. The nominations page has been receiving more activity, but not a great deal more. More time for responses would be a good thing. North America1000 03:56, 22 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I have at the TAFI talk page made a suggestion that all participants of TAFI should get a message about new noms. So if I nominate an article a notification bot would announce that in a message to all the participants on the list. As there are very few nominations that would be easy to do. It would likely make people more aware of the project and noms as well. With that said, I support the increase.BabbaQ (talk) 15:05, 22 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@BabbaQ: If the automatic rotations were turned off, I'd put the page on my watchlist and I'd guess many others would, too. {{u|Sdkb}}talk 15:56, 22 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Further changes

@MusikAnimal: Looking through nomination archives for recent months, most nominations are being declined, some deservedly but many just because there weren't three people to !vote on them. Increasing the autoarchiving thresshold to 42 days unfortuantely hasn't been enough, as the project is just too inactive. I'd suggest turning off the autoarchiving entirely—nominations are not time-sensitive so they don't go stale, and we want to make sure the project doesn't look even more abandoned than it is. The net support/thressholds will be enough (although they should perhaps be lowered). I'd also still prefer that the rotating be turned off. Personally I'm not willing to add the nomination page to my watchlist until that happens, and others may feel similarly. {{u|Sdkb}}talk 19:36, 18 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know that the bot supports turning off the automatic unapprove feature, but we can make the offset value something ridiculously high to have the same effect. I'm also happy to turn off the rotation, if that's what you all want. Pinging the usual @Northamerica1000 and @BabbaQ, and also @JJMC89 who has been active at WP:TAFINOM lately. Anyone have an opinion? MusikAnimal talk 00:34, 19 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
MusikAnimal, seeing no replies, can we go ahead and implement these? {{u|Sdkb}}talk 18:53, 14 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Done Rotation has been disabled, and the auto-unapprove offset is now roughly 274 years :) MusikAnimal talk 22:09, 14 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedians in 2295 will be in for a surprise if they're not paying attention... {{u|Sdkb}}talk 23:11, 14 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
