Sara works with several agencies including: Women Management in Milan, Oui Management, The Lions in New York, and models 1. Her mother agency is Central Models Portugal.

Sara was discovered at the age of 15, but was not allowed to compete in modeling competitions until the age of 16. At the age of 16, she won a hair modeling contest in Portugal called Cabelos Pantene. She had the chance to be in a commercial in Portugal. She got signed to an agency, but because of her strict parents, she had to finish high school, and went to the University in Lisbon. She was doing part time because she was not allowed to be homeschooled. While in Lisbon, she did editorial part time until she had the opportunity to go international. Sara’s dream was to work for Victoria’s Secret. Her agency sent in headshots, and she was asked to audition, but did not make it on the show. She worked very hard to be chosen for Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. After her third year audition, she made her debut in 2013 walking one segment of the VS Fashion Show and two segments in 2014.She was recently chosen as one of the newest angels for the 2015 runway, and this December will be the first year she walks the runway as an angel.

Personal Life

Sara Sampaio grew up in the outskirts of Porto, Portugal, then moved to New York to start her career. She stated in an interview that she intends to keep her personal life very private[15]. In her free time she loves to surf and kick box. She is a brown belt in karate and is currently learning to play the guitar. In July of 2015, rumors circulated about a possible relationship with One Direction member Harry Styles. According to Entertainment Weekly, she was seen leaving the hotel that Harry Styles stayed at, and they were seen hugging goodbye. While Sampaio was bombarded with questions, she did not reveal any information because she is insistent on keeping her personal life private. In interviews with vogue, Sampaio talks about being photographed nude. She considers her modeling a form of artistic expression, and nudity empowering. Sara feels confident and said in the interview, "At the end of the day, we were born naked, and that's the way we are gonna go". She believes everyone should feel comfortable in her own skin no matter shape or size. For this reason, Sara has spoken out against skinny shaming, and mentioned in an interview that the amount of hate that her and other Victoria's Secret models experience is ridiculous. She says that "every body is different and every metabolism is different". The model was part of "The Perfect Body" VS campaign that was later changed to "A Body for Everybody". She stands for women loving their bodies no matter the type.

Victoria's Secret

The twenty-four year old has just signed a contract to become one of the ten newest Victoria's Secret angels that will be walking her first show (as an angel) on December 8th, 2015. In an interview with Hello! Fashion, Sara talks about traveling the world to model in lingerie. In order to model, she works out two-four times a week. She tries to make workouts fun by bringing her friends and exchanging tips with her other VS models.

Adding on to Career, Personal Life, and Adding a Section on Victoria's Secret Proposed changes: The purpose of this project is to add credibility to Sara Sampaio’s page by editing her current career section and personal life. Her career could include: how she started in the business, how she has progressed, what she has done, and what she plans to do in the future. Her personal life should include: Where and how did she grow up, what she enjoys doing, her views on things she is passionate about (body image and nudity),her personal relationships to her coworkers (other VS models), and maybe adding a picture as well.

The presentation of the information will be in sections of her career and personal life. While there is little to no existing content, the purpose of this page will be to start adding to the page. She is already a well renowned supermodel, but once she walks the runway in December, her page will be especially important. Her personal life also includes the gossip talking about her love life with Harry Styles as well as her personal workout, and skin routines. Because Victoria's Secret has defined her career so far, I am thinking of adding a separate section of her life in Victoria's Secret. According to interviews, Sampaio has spoken out against skinny shaming and has talked about nudity as a part of modeling in her career. Because of this, I have included interviews of her speaking out. This could be apart of her career section. My plan for this wiki page is too provide interesting information on Sara Sampaio.
