Hello. In a page of camel spin, we have a problem. User " Wookhistory " does not stop editing it with yu-na camel obstinately. The Korean wants to add a name of yu-na kim to the spin. They are going to bring up the name into an official name without permission. They are very difficult. In korean forum, they sometimes talk about changing the name of the spin into yu-na camel.

I wished a page was protected and talked about it with several people. I got such an answer.

"Have you tried to communicate with the user at all? That is the best way to go about this. If you can't work it out between you, take a look at our dispute resolution process for further assistance. I hope that helps - let me know if it doesn't. "

However, I am not so good at English. Do you understand the meaning of this sentence? Will we have any solution?

sorry if my english is bad.

Edit war on Camel spin

Hi. Instead of having an edit war, let's discuss this dispute on Talk:Camel spin. Kolindigo (talk) 21:12, 25 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Mao Asada and jumping

The problem with using protocols for references is that they can only prove that a skater was credited with a certain element. So if I wanted to prove that Mao Asada has been credited with a triple axel at five different competitions, I could use the protocols to prove that she has been credited with a 3A element at those five competitions. I could also prove that a jump has been downgraded using a protocol because of the < downgrading symbol, that it took place in the second half of her program using the x multiplication symbol, or that she has been given edge deductions on her lutz, because of the e edge deduction symbol. However, I cannot use a protocol to prove that Asada has never done a salchow, because a protocol is just a list of what officially happened at a certain event.

So, using that list of protocols, you could put into her article that she was credited with a downgraded 3A or that she was credited with a 1A, but you would have to use a news article or some other source to say that she has never done something. Does that make sense? Kolindigo (talk) 14:49, 26 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Mao Asada‎ →Jumping technique

Trying to start another edit war in the Mao Asada article? Let's please discuss this. If you're going to add these "facts", you need a source to prove it. For your most recent edit, you need a source that specifically states Asada's success rate of landing the triple axel is only 50%.

And no offense, but you need to work on your grammar. Byxbee (talk) 08:11, 29 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

In your latest edit in the Mao Asada article, you don't define what the "significant competition" is. All competitions are significant. You need to add a source that states the competition as well as the age she was at the time. If the "significant competition" you're referring to is a championship (worlds, junior worlds, 4CC, etc.), the source also needs to state that the championship competition where she landed the 3A is more "significant" than other competitions where she has landed it. Of course I read the "Daily Times" reference, I added it myself. I actually am the one who added many of the references. I just don't understand why you deleted the information about when Asada first landed the triple axel, which was at 12 years old. The information (as provided with my source) never stated that she landed it in competition at 12 years old, so please tell me what's the problem with keeping that information in the article. I think that the first time someone does something in their career is important, is it not?

And I really don't see any difference to the changes you made about the 4T and the 4L. And I don't see the point either. Before you changed it, did it say that she landed a 4T or a 4L in competition? No. All it said was that she practices it, plain and simple. Your most recent change makes it even less understandable. Your edit makes it sound like she will practice the quadruple jumps, but in the source I provided, it clearly says that she is already practicing them. Byxbee (talk) 04:42, 30 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
