Jillian lavender

The article Jillian lavender has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group or service and which would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. When you create a biographical article, even the first draft of the article needs to assert why that person is notable per the guidelines of WP:BIO. The assertion of notability should be backed by reliable sources. Also, please take a look at WP:SPAM re using Wikipedia to promote people's businesses. Re: starting a new article

If you are attempting to create a new article, but not sure if that person meets WP:BIO or if the hard work you put in will be deleted, I'd offer a couple of suggestions. First, you could simply type out the article on your desktop (in Word, or whatever program you prefer), and then when you feel the article is up to snuff, put it on WP. However, your best option (in my opinion) is to make a subpage of your userpage- see here- and type up the article using Wiki markup language, citations, etc. Then, when you think the article is done, check Wikipedia's core and applicable policies (WP:BIO, WP:V, etc.) to see if the article will survive in the mainspace, or ask other users to read the article and give their advice. I hope that helps. -- Kicking222 16:42, 15 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
