Reviewing Fresh off the Boat: A Memoir

Hi Mlic1995! It's Kristina! I am reviewing your assigned article Fresh off the Boat. I do have some questions and concerns about the article that you are planning on editing. The article itself only briefly touches on the content of the memoir itself, but doesn't appear to go into any detail as to which types of food the narrator was exposed to and how that influenced his feelings of both displacement and connections to his country of origin. I really believe that this article would benefit from some specificity of examples, and maybe even some images, so that the readers can get a better understanding of the narrator's connection to these different dishes. I also think that it would be interesting to explore how the television adaptation picks up on those feelings of the narrator with their experience with those same dishes.Krmmiller (talk) 20:38, 5 February 2017 (UTC)
