Advice regarding Draft:MediPharm Labs

Hi - I was reviewing Draft:MediPharm Labs at the same time as Kb03 - it appears that they declined the submission before I finished my review. I was going to decline it as well, but on different grounds, so I've come to give you a bit of advice if you want to try and improve it and resubmit it.

I don't know whether you've read WP:NCORP - our guidelines for establishing notability in companies? Articles require significant coverage in multiple independent sources to establish notability, and your draft was lacking them. Almost all of the coverage was from rehashed press releases issued by the company - that is classified as dependent coverage, which does not establish notability. The only independent sources, as far as I could see, were the two Bloomberg biogs - but they are little more than directory entries, and wouldn't be considered significant. What you need is some proper independent coverage about the company - newspaper reports perhaps, independent reviews of their products, etc. Without that, the article probably won't be accepted, even if the prose is entirely neutral.

I hope that's helpful - cheers. GirthSummit (blether) 16:27, 10 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
