Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, one or more of the external links you added to the page Car dealership do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. CZmarlin (talk) 15:36, 10 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your edits adding a link to the commercial Auto Trader page on the car dealership article. However, please read the guidelines regarding advertising, promotion, and spam within Wikipedia articles. They state: "Adding external links to an article or user page for the purpose of promoting a website or a product is not allowed, and is considered to be spam." It is perfectly clear that your contribution is a link to a particular company's web page to search for a particular dealership and vehicle. There are many similar web pages such as the one you are adding and none of them belong in Wikipedia. Moreover, the link to these advertising pages by "Cox Auto Trader, Inc." does not provide additional information about the characteristics, business, or operation of a car dealership. There are the reasons why this link should not be included. Thanks for your cooperation — CZmarlin (talk) 22:24, 10 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
