Rainbows

Hello. No, I'm not saying I think rainbows are British. Take a look at WP:ENGVAR as linked in the edit summary: when a subject has no national ties, Wikipedia just goes with whatever consistent spelling happened to be first used in that article, rather than shrugging and having a confusing mix of different spellings. When an editor "corrected" the British spellings of "aeroplane" and "realized", I just combed a script over it to bring them back, restoring a few other British spellings in the process. (The article was already using the glaringly British "colour" with a u throughout.) --McGeddon (talk) 07:37, 8 May 2014 (UTC)
