Hello, Mbonline, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, like Southbeach Notation, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for page creation, and may soon be deleted.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. A tag has been placed on Southbeach Notation requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. it did not fit the speedy deletion category used, so I did not delete it. But the article remains unsatisfactory, for it does not explain why this software is notable. You need references providing substantial coverage from 3rd party independent published reliable sources, print or online, but not blogs or press releases, or material derived from press releases . The BTTrends link did not yield the article specified, so I could not evaluate whether it might serve as one of them. However, I added two from there that should help, but they seem not really independent of the developers of the software. I advise you to do this very quickly, before the article gets deleted by a regular deletion process. DGG (talk) 02:32, 20 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Southbeach notation for deletion

A discussion has begun about whether the article Southbeach notation, which you created or to which you contributed, should be deleted. While contributions are welcome, an article may be deleted if it is inconsistent with Wikipedia policies and guidelines for inclusion, explained in the deletion policy.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Southbeach notation until a consensus is reached, and you are welcome to contribute to the discussion.

You may edit the article during the discussion, including to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Bongomatic 22:44, 17 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Mbonline. The criteria for inclusion in Wikipedia may be found at WP:N. In short, a topic must be the recipient of:
    • significant coverage
    • in reliable sources
    • that are independent of the topic
I don't think that any of the sources cited meet these criteria, nor do any of the sources I was able to identify in a good-faith search. The only sources that provided anything approaching "significant coverage" were sources that were linked to the topic (e.g., written by the topic's inventors, etc.). The articles for deletion process is not based on the actions of a "time delay activated robot,", but rather on the informed opinions of editors who elect to opine. {{hangon}} is only for candidates for speedy deletion, a quite different process. Your recent edits

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you must sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 20:52, 22 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The file File:The game of farkle.JPG has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

unused, low-res, no obvious use

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:01, 27 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
