February 2012

An editor has raised questions about your editing. At the very best, your continual editing about yourself is dubious, as you have a conflict of interest. (You were notified about this issue before, as can be seen above.) At the worst, your editing constitutes a concerted attempt to use Wikipedia for self-promotion. Wikipedia is not a medium for promotion of any sort, and editors who persist in using Wikipedia for promotion may be blocked from editing. It would be better if you did not continue to add links about yourself to articles. The extent to which you have been doing so looks very much like using Wikipedia for advertising. Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. An editor whose editing has been so heavily concentrated as yours has been on promoting himself or herself and his or her work would usually have received far more messages about the problems than you have, and if he or she persisted then he or she would no doubt have been blocked well before reaching a total of 124 edits, as you have. I have no doubt that the reason you have managed to continue is the long gaps in your editing: someone notices a problem, and expresses concern, but by the time you come back and edit again, that editor has forgotten about you. However, the fact remains that you were informed of Wikipedia's conflict of interest policy not far short of six years ago, and you were told two years ago that you would be blocked if you continued to use Wikipedia for promotion, but you have continued to do so. You have persisted in adding links designed to attract people to web sites publishing your work, and you have repeatedly edited the article about you, despite having been informed of the conflict of interest policy. Wikipedia is not a medium for promotion of anything or anyone, including self-promotion. You have therefore been blocked indefinitely from editing. If you believe there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Please note that unless and until the block is removed, you do not have permission to edit Wikipedia, whether by using this account or otherwise, including having someone else edit on your behalf.
